PHP Developer (Laravel)

Write clean code, review pull requests and fix what breaks at a software development house in Upington. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

You'll report in Upington. Relocation is not covered for this one. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Investigate production bugs using logs and monitoring dashboards
• Design database tables and write efficient SQL queries
• Write, test and refactor code in your team's main language
• Deploy through a CI/CD pipeline on Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or GitLab
• Join daily stand-ups and sprint planning
• Build and consume REST or GraphQL APIs

• Commercial experience in at least one of PHP, C#, Java, Python or JavaScript
• You can explain technical choices to non-technical people
• Solid Git habits: branches, pull requests and meaningful commit messages
• Experience writing automated tests
• A computer science or IT qualification, or a portfolio that proves you can build

• Knowledge of secure coding and the OWASP Top 10
• Public GitHub portfolio or published app
• Docker and Kubernetes experience
