Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary (Frail Care)

A retirement village frail care centre in Springs needs someone kind and reliable to look after patients who can't manage alone. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

The work is in Springs, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day.

• Take and chart temperature, pulse, blood pressure and blood glucose
• Turn bed-bound patients on schedule and check pressure areas for early sores
• Help patients bath, dress, eat and use the toilet with dignity
• Hand out oral medication under the supervision of a registered nurse
• Make beds, change linen and keep the rooms clean and uncluttered

• SANC enrolment as an Enrolled Nurse or Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary for nursing posts
• Matric or NQF Level 4 equivalent
• First aid Level 1 or BLS certificate
• Accredited home-based care or ancillary health care certificate for caregiver posts
• Patient and gentle with elderly, frail or confused people

• Experience in a frail care or hospice setting
• Dementia care or palliative care short course

• Overtime paid at time and a half
• Transport home after late shifts at some facilities
• Meals provided on shift at many frail care centres
