Estate and Trust Tax Administrator

Clients sleep better when their tax is sorted, and a financial planning practice in Pretoria East needs you to sort it. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

This post is Pretoria East-based, with most of your time spent at a financial planning practice. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Advise on deductions such as retirement contributions and home office claims
• Register clients for income tax, VAT and PAYE
• Calculate IRP6 provisional tax for individuals and companies
• Track filing season deadlines and send reminders to clients
• Check SARS assessments and flag errors to clients

• Clear writing for SARS letters and objections
• Comfortable handling tax season overtime
• Working knowledge of the Income Tax Act and VAT Act
• Registered tax practitioner with a recognised controlling body such as SAIT or SAIPA
• Degree or diploma in accounting or tax
• At least 2 years of SARS eFiling experience

• Tax software experience such as TaxShop or CaseWare
• Experience with trusts, estates and capital gains tax

• CPD hours paid by the firm
• Flexible hours outside filing season
• Paid controlling body subscription
• Bonus at the end of filing season
