Job Description

A family in Cape Town CBD wants someone they can trust with their retired couple's cottage and their children. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

Home base is a retired couple's cottage on the Cape Town CBD side of Western Cape. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

The work, day to day

Dust furniture, ornaments and skirting boards
Clean windows and patio doors once a week
Change bed linen and make beds
Water indoor plants and feed pets
Wash dishes and keep the kitchen tidy after meals

Must-haves

Neat, organised and able to work without being supervised
Willing to follow the family's house rules and routines
Trustworthy, with references from previous employers you can share
South African ID or valid work permit
Able to speak and understand basic English
Good with children and patient

Extra points for

Experience caring for an older person
A driver's licence for school lifts

On offer

Paid annual leave and public holidays as the law requires
Registered for UIF and COIDA by the employer
Own room with bathroom for live-in posts
Written contract with fixed hours and duties
