Estate Security Supervisor

A security company in Brackenfell wants a firm, fair supervisor for its mining operation. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

The work is in Brackenfell, Western Cape, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Plan the monthly roster to stay within legal working hours
• Handle discipline issues fairly and keep written records
• Inspect guards on post for uniform, alertness and OB entries
• Investigate incidents and write reports for the client
• Order and issue uniform, radios and torches
• Meet the client weekly on security concerns
• Run on-site training on procedures and emergency drills

• Matric, with a security management course a plus
• Valid Code 8 licence and willing to drive between sites
• Confident writer of incident reports and rosters
• At least 3 years in security, including 1 as a supervisor
• PSIRA Grade B (Grade A for area manager posts)
• Firm with staff but fair and consistent

• Own reliable vehicle
• Mining or hospital security experience
• Labour relations or basic supervision course

• Provident fund and funeral cover
• Cellphone allowance
• Management training for growth to operations manager
• Company vehicle or car allowance on area roles

• Mention how you handled absenteeism or roster gaps. It is the biggest daily headache for security companies.
• Say how many officers you supervised and on which sites. The number matters more than the title.
