Evening Turndown Housekeeper

Guests at a game lodge in Stellenbosch will never meet you, but they will judge the stay by your work. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

The work is in Stellenbosch, Western Cape, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Log lost property with the guest's room number and date
• Vacuum, dust and check the minibar in each room
• Load, wash, dry and press linen in the hotel laundry
• Strip and make beds to the hotel's standard, hospital corners included
• Clean lobby, lifts and public toilets through the day

• Friendly and polite if you meet guests in the corridor
• Available on weekends, holidays and in peak season
• Grade 10 or matric
• Well groomed

• Experience with industrial laundry machines
• Speaking a foreign language for tourist guests

• Share of the service charge or guest tips
• Uniform supplied and laundered
• Staff accommodation at remote lodges
• Meals on duty from the staff kitchen

• Mention seasonal availability for December and Easter. Coastal and lodge properties hire heavily before those peaks.
