Event Security Steward (Stadium)

The gate at a construction yard in Bellville is the first line of safety, and you would be standing at it. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

You'll be based at a construction yard in Bellville. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Watch for loitering, broken fencing and open doors during night patrols
• Hand out and collect contractor access cards
• Test the panic button and radio when you come on duty
• Patrol the perimeter on a set route and scan checkpoint tags
• Call the armed response or SAPS number from the call list when needed
• Direct traffic and parking during school drop-off or big events
• Write every incident and shift change in the occurrence book (OB)

• Clean criminal record
• PSIRA registration at Grade C or higher, paid up to date
• Grade 10 minimum; matric preferred
• Clear, neat handwriting for the OB and registers
• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends

• Experience on estate access apps or biometric readers
• Firefighting or evacuation training
• A Code 8 licence for vehicle patrols

• Chance to be upgraded to Grade B with training
• Uniform, boots and winter jacket issued
• Paid night-shift allowance under the security sector rules
