Job Description

You'll catch shoplifting and stock losses at an electronics store in Atlantis before they cost jobs. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

You'll be based at an electronics store in Atlantis. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

What your day looks like

Walk the floor in plain clothes and watch for shoplifting behaviour
Share trends with the store manager each week
Detain suspects lawfully and call SAPS, then write a statement
Review CCTV footage to confirm suspected theft
Check receiving bay deliveries against invoices and seal numbers

You'll need

Good report writing
PSIRA registration, Grade C at least
Knowledge of lawful arrest and search under the Criminal Procedure Act
Matric or equivalent NQF Level 4

Extra points for

Previous store detective experience with case outcomes
Understanding of stock systems and shrinkage reports
