Event Security Steward (Stadium)

Steady 12-hour shifts at a distribution warehouse in Kuruman for PSIRA-registered officers. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

This post is in Kuruman (Northern Cape). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Write every incident and shift change in the occurrence book (OB)
• Test the panic button and radio when you come on duty
• Watch for loitering, broken fencing and open doors during night patrols
• Check visitors' IDs and capture them on the visitor app or in the gate register
• Hand out and collect contractor access cards
• Call the armed response or SAPS number from the call list when needed

• Clean criminal record
• Speaks and writes basic English
• Alert, polite and firm with the public
• Physically fit for foot patrols
• PSIRA registration at Grade C or higher, paid up to date

• Previous experience at a similar site type
• First-aid Level 1 certificate

• Paid night-shift allowance under the security sector rules
• Provident fund contributions
• Chance to be upgraded to Grade B with training
• Stable long-term site contracts

• Arrive for the interview in neat clothes with your certificates in a plastic sleeve. It shows the discipline they want.
• List the types of sites you have guarded, like estate, mall or factory. Security companies place officers by site experience.
