Factory Hand (Bottling Plant) – Entry Level

Here in Umhlanga, a furniture assembly factory needs steady people who can repeat a task well for eight hours. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

You'll report in Umhlanga. Relocation is not covered for this one. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Move full bins and crates to the next station with a trolley
• Pack finished product into cases and stack them by batch number
• Stop the line with the emergency stop if anything jams or looks unsafe
• Weigh ingredients or additives against the recipe card
• Change over packaging film and labels when the line switches product
• Clean down machines and floors at the end of each run

• Neat, reliable and on time for shift start
• Medically fit; some food plants ask for a medical check
• You follow hygiene rules without being reminded
• Grade 10 minimum, matric an advantage
• Available for rotating day and night shifts
• Able to stand for a full shift in a noisy, warm area

• A food handler or basic HACCP awareness certificate
• Previous work in a food or FMCG factory
• Experience assisting on a packaging or filling machine

• Staff shop with discounted factory products
• Free PPE, overalls and hairnets
• Company transport on some night shifts

• Name the products you worked on before, like "biscuit line" or "juice bottling". Factory recruiters read that faster than a job title.
• Do not wear jewellery or long nails to the interview if it is on site. Food factories notice and it counts.
