Family Law Attorney (Divorce and Maintenance)

A mid-sized commercial law firm in Roodepoort needs an attorney who can draft, advise and stand up in court. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

You'll be based at a mid-sized commercial law firm in Roodepoort. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Review company processes for POPIA and privacy compliance
• Brief counsel and prepare them for trial and opposed motions
• Record billable time and hit the monthly target
• Advise clients on risk, settlement and next steps in plain language
• Track legislation changes that affect clients' businesses
• Keep trust account instructions and fee notes accurate

• Able to manage client relationships without a senior in the room
• LLB and admission as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa
• Sound judgement under deadline pressure
• At least 2 years of post-admission experience in the relevant field

• Notarial admission
• LLM or postgraduate certificate in your specialist area

• Annual bonus linked to billing
