Financial Accountant (Manufacturing) – Experienced

A mid-sized manufacturing group in Brits needs an accountant who can close fast and explain the variances. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

This post is Brits-based, with most of your time spent at a mid-sized manufacturing group. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Calculate provisional tax and check the VAT201 before submission
• Run the month-end close and prepare the trial balance
• Maintain the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules
• Build budgets and rolling forecasts with department heads
• Run cash flow forecasts and manage the weekly payment run

• At least 3 years of post-qualification accounting experience
• Strong Excel skills, including large data sets and lookups
• Understanding of South African income tax and VAT
• BCom Accounting or equivalent degree
• Working knowledge of IFRS or IFRS for SMEs
• Experience on an ERP such as Sage X3, Sage 300, Syspro or SAP Business One
