Financial Accountant (Manufacturing)

An audit and advisory firm in Krugersdorp needs an accountant who can close fast and explain the variances. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

Home base is an audit and advisory firm on the Krugersdorp side of Gauteng.

• Run the month-end close and prepare the trial balance
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and clear old reconciling items
• Draft annual financial statements under IFRS or IFRS for SMEs
• Track stock costing, standard costs and production variances
• Run cash flow forecasts and manage the weekly payment run
• Build budgets and rolling forecasts with department heads
• Maintain the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules

• Strong Excel skills, including large data sets and lookups
• Experience on an ERP such as Sage X3, Sage 300, Syspro or SAP Business One
• At least 3 years of post-qualification accounting experience
• Understanding of South African income tax and VAT
• Working knowledge of IFRS or IFRS for SMEs
• You meet month-end deadlines without being chased
