Financial Advisor (Tied Agent, Trainee)

Talking money and risk takes trust; at this financial advice practice in Harrismith you'll build it call by call. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

The work is in Harrismith, Free State, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Keep your record of advice complete for compliance audits.
• Explain waiting periods, exclusions and premiums in plain terms.
• Capture new policies on the admin system and check debit order details.
• Visit clients at home or work for field advice appointments.
• Follow up on quotes sent and chase missing documents.
• Save policies when clients call to cancel.
• Do a needs analysis and match the client to the right product.

• Honest selling, even when the easy sale is the wrong one
• Matric, including Maths or Maths Literacy
• FAIS fit and proper: clean credit and criminal record
• RE5 passed, or willing to write it within the first year
• Six months or more of sales, telesales or call centre work

• An existing client book (for field roles)
• A qualification such as a Higher Certificate in Financial Planning

• Medical aid and group life cover once permanent
• CPD hours logged and funded
• RE5 exam fees and study material paid
• Basic salary plus uncapped commission
