Job Description

Keep the programme on track, the subbies busy and the site safe for the road and stormwater contractor in Cape Town CBD. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

This post is Cape Town CBD-based, with most of your time spent at a road and stormwater contractor.

What your day looks like

Measure completed work for monthly payment certificates
Coordinate subcontractors for plumbing, electrical, roofing and glazing
Chair the weekly site meeting and record actions for the principal agent
Check reinforcing, shuttering and cover blocks before calling for a pour inspection
Check workmanship against drawings, specifications and SANS 10400

What you need

Good with MS Project or a similar programme tool
Code 08 licence and your own reliable transport between sites
National Diploma or BTech in Building or Civil Engineering, or a trade background with site experience
Firm with labour, fair with subcontractors

Nice if you have

Worked on CIDB grade 6 or higher projects
Surveying skills with a total station
SACPCMP registration as a Construction Manager or Candidate
