Fixed Asset Accountant (Mining)

You'll own the monthly numbers for a logistics company in Pinetown, from journals to the management pack. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

You'll be based at a logistics company in Pinetown. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Run the month-end close and prepare the trial balance
• Prepare the audit file and answer auditor queries
• Prepare monthly management accounts with variance commentary
• Run cash flow forecasts and manage the weekly payment run
• Build budgets and rolling forecasts with department heads
• Review creditors, debtors and payroll journals from the clerks

• Experience on an ERP such as Sage X3, Sage 300, Syspro or SAP Business One
• Understanding of South African income tax and VAT
• Strong Excel skills, including large data sets and lookups
• At least 3 years of post-qualification accounting experience
