Fleet Administrator (Licences and Services)

You'll plan the loads and watch the trucks for a bus and coach operator in East London, keeping every trip on time. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

The site is in East London; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Book vehicle services, licence renewals and roadworthy tests
• Plan daily loads to use full truck capacity
• Capture trip sheets, fuel and toll costs on the system
• Compile daily reports on trips completed and late deliveries
• Check driver hours so nobody drives too long without rest

• Knowledge of South African road freight regulations
• Calm and decisive when things go wrong
• At least 2 years in transport or logistics
• Able to work shifts in a 24-hour control office
• Matric
• Good with Excel and email

• Transport management system (TMS) experience
• Knowledge of cross-border documentation
• Experience on a vehicle telematics platform

• Growth to transport manager
• Office-based work with a steady roster
• Cellphone allowance for standby shifts

• Give the fleet size and route types you handled, for example "40 trucks, long-haul and local". Hiring managers want scale.
• If you drove trucks before, say so. Controllers who know the road earn quick respect from drivers.
