Fleet Administrator (Licences and Services)

You'll plan the loads and watch the trucks for a road freight company in Vanderbijlpark, keeping every trip on time. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

You'll report in Vanderbijlpark. Relocation is not covered for this one. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Assign trucks and drivers to routes and track them on telematics
• Keep a register of PrDP and licence expiry dates for all drivers
• Arrange breakdown recovery and replacement vehicles
• Update customers on delivery times and delays
• Compile daily reports on trips completed and late deliveries
• Check driver hours so nobody drives too long without rest
• Phone drivers when trucks stop too long or go off-route

• Knowledge of South African road freight regulations
• Calm and decisive when things go wrong
• Good with Excel and email
• Matric

• Knowledge of cross-border documentation
• Logistics or supply chain certificate

• Cellphone allowance for standby shifts
• Office-based work with a steady roster
• Training on the fleet and tracking systems
• Growth to transport manager
