Job Description

Behind every truck on the road is a controller; at a bus and coach operator in Welkom, that could be you. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

Home base is a bus and coach operator on the Welkom side of Free State.

The work, day to day

Arrange breakdown recovery and replacement vehicles
Capture trip sheets, fuel and toll costs on the system
Keep a register of PrDP and licence expiry dates for all drivers
Book vehicle services, licence renewals and roadworthy tests
Check driver hours so nobody drives too long without rest
Update customers on delivery times and delays

You'll need

Clear on the phone with drivers and customers
Matric
Calm and decisive when things go wrong
Able to work shifts in a 24-hour control office

Nice if you have

Previous truck driving experience
Experience on a vehicle telematics platform
