Transport Controller (Long Haul Fleet)

Behind every truck on the road is a controller; at a distribution depot in Sasolburg, that could be you. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

The work is in Sasolburg, Free State, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Keep a register of PrDP and licence expiry dates for all drivers
• Arrange breakdown recovery and replacement vehicles
• Phone drivers when trucks stop too long or go off-route
• Compile daily reports on trips completed and late deliveries
• Assign trucks and drivers to routes and track them on telematics
• Update customers on delivery times and delays

• Matric
• Clear on the phone with drivers and customers
• At least 2 years in transport or logistics
• Good with Excel and email
• Knowledge of South African road freight regulations

• Office-based work with a steady roster
• Training on the fleet and tracking systems
• Growth to transport manager
