Flotation Operator (Platinum Concentrator) – Immediate Start

The coal washing plant near Rustenburg needs operators who can run their area safely on a 24-hour shift cycle. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

You'll be based at a coal washing plant in Rustenburg. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Hand over the plant to the next shift with a clear status report
• Call maintenance for bearing noise, belt damage or leaks
• Log plant readings and downtime on the shift log
• Start up, run and shut down crushers, screens and conveyors in sequence
• Watch mill loads, cell levels and densities on the SCADA screens
• Check pumps, cyclones and thickeners on the plant walk

• MQA minerals processing certificate at NQF 2 or higher
• Comfortable around noise, dust and heights while wearing full PPE
• At least 1 year operating a processing plant
• Willing to work 12-hour rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays
• Certificate of fitness from the mine medical station
• Basic computer skills for SCADA screens and logs

• Forklift or overhead crane licence
• N4 to N6 or a diploma in Extraction Metallurgy
• Control room experience
