Job Description

You'll help a community retail pharmacy in Potchefstroom dispense scripts, manage stock and advise patients at the counter. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

You'll report in Potchefstroom. Relocation is not covered for this one. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

What you'll actually do

Log Schedule 5 and 6 items in the register as they go out
Prepare monthly chronic packs for collection or courier delivery
Do cycle counts and flag stock discrepancies to the responsible pharmacist
Explain dosage, storage and side effects to patients in plain language
Help customers choose over-the-counter and front-shop products
Process medical aid claims and fix rejections before the patient leaves
Record cold-chain fridge temperatures twice a day

You'll need

Able to work Saturdays and some Sundays on a rotation
Understanding of medical aid claim codes and PMB chronic rules
Working knowledge of a dispensing system such as Unisolv, Proscript or Healthbridge-linked software
Matric with Maths or Maths Literacy

Extra points for

Experience in a courier or chronic medication pharmacy
Experience with stock ordering through a wholesaler portal
Registered for the Post-Basic qualification if you currently hold Basic
