Job Description

Here your code runs in production, not in a drawer: an e-commerce platform in Harrismith. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

Home base is an e-commerce platform on the Harrismith side of Free State. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

What your day looks like

Deploy through a CI/CD pipeline on Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or GitLab
Join daily stand-ups and sprint planning
Write unit and integration tests before you merge
Build and consume REST or GraphQL APIs
Pair with junior developers to unblock them

You'll need

Stable internet and a quiet workspace for remote days
A computer science or IT qualification, or a portfolio that proves you can build
Commercial experience in at least one of PHP, C#, Java, Python or JavaScript
Good SQL and understanding of relational databases

Extra points for

Public GitHub portfolio or published app
Cloud certification on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
Experience in regulated sectors such as banking or medical schemes
