Job Description

A bank's digital channels team in Umhlanga needs a developer who can take a ticket from idea to production. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

This post is Umhlanga-based, with most of your time spent at a bank's digital channels team.

The work, day to day

Join daily stand-ups and sprint planning
Review teammates' pull requests with useful comments
Deploy through a CI/CD pipeline on Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or GitLab
Build and consume REST or GraphQL APIs
Pick up tickets from the sprint board and estimate the work

You'll need

Good SQL and understanding of relational databases
Solid Git habits: branches, pull requests and meaningful commit messages
You can explain technical choices to non-technical people
Experience writing automated tests
Commercial experience in at least one of PHP, C#, Java, Python or JavaScript
