Job Description

Quick hands and good eyes are all a berry packing facility near Kimberley really needs from you. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

This post is Kimberley-based, with most of your time spent at a berry packing facility. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

What your day looks like

Stick labels and batch codes on each carton
Sort fruit by size, colour and blemish on the packing line
Pack cartons to the export pattern and weight
Keep your packing station clean and free of stems and leaves
Follow food safety rules like hand washing and no jewellery
Stack empty cartons and punnets ready for the next run

Must-haves

Arrives on time for early shifts
Valid ID or permit
Available for the full packing season including Saturdays
Able to stand at a line for long shifts
Follows hygiene rules at all times
Basic counting and reading for labels

Helpful, not essential

Knowledge of export standards like GLOBALG.A.P.
Previous packhouse work
Matric for QC posts
