Job Description

Packing season at a citrus packhouse near Kuruman means lots of shifts and lots of work. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

This post is in Kuruman (Northern Cape). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

The work, day to day

Help clean the line and machines at the end of the day
Check fruit samples and record quality results on the QC sheet
Stick labels and batch codes on each carton
Pack cartons to the export pattern and weight
Sort fruit by size, colour and blemish on the packing line

Must-haves

Quick and neat with your hands
Basic counting and reading for labels
Available for the full packing season including Saturdays
Valid ID or permit
Able to stand at a line for long shifts
Arrives on time for early shifts

Nice if you have

Knowledge of export standards like GLOBALG.A.P.
Forklift licence for palletising roles
