Gate Security Officer (Residential Estate)

You'll control who comes in and out of a private school campus in Cape Town CBD, and log every visitor properly. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

• Keep the guardhouse clean and the OB up to date for the relieving officer
• Test the panic button and radio when you come on duty
• Search vehicles and bags leaving the site when company policy requires it
• Patrol the perimeter on a set route and scan checkpoint tags
• Write every incident and shift change in the occurrence book (OB)

• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends
• Grade 10 minimum; matric preferred
• PSIRA registration at Grade C or higher, paid up to date
• Clear, neat handwriting for the OB and registers

• A Code 8 licence for vehicle patrols
• Previous experience at a similar site type
• First-aid Level 1 certificate

• Chance to be upgraded to Grade B with training
