Gate Security Officer (Residential Estate) – Experienced

Steady 12-hour shifts at a gated residential estate in Johannesburg CBD for PSIRA-registered officers. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

You'll be based at a gated residential estate in Johannesburg CBD. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Patrol the perimeter on a set route and scan checkpoint tags
• Hand out and collect contractor access cards
• Watch for loitering, broken fencing and open doors during night patrols
• Open and close boom gates for residents, deliveries and contractors
• Check visitors' IDs and capture them on the visitor app or in the gate register
• Write every incident and shift change in the occurrence book (OB)
• Test the panic button and radio when you come on duty

• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends
• Clear, neat handwriting for the OB and registers
• Grade 10 minimum; matric preferred
• Speaks and writes basic English
• PSIRA registration at Grade C or higher, paid up to date
• Alert, polite and firm with the public

• Experience on estate access apps or biometric readers
• Previous experience at a similar site type

• Stable long-term site contracts
• Provident fund contributions
• Uniform, boots and winter jacket issued
