Grade 00 Class Teacher (Private Pre-School)

You'll care for and teach young children at a primary school aftercare programme in Germiston, from nappies to first letters. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

The site is in Germiston; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Prepare simple, nutritious snacks and keep the kitchen hygienic
• Watch children closely outside and keep the play area safe
• Set up daily learning areas for art, blocks, reading and fantasy play
• Plan themes and holiday programmes with the principal
• Chat to parents at drop-off and pick-up about how the day went
• Run morning ring with songs, weather and counting
• Clean and sanitise toys, mats and tables at the end of the day
