Job Description

Crops do not wait, and a citrus farm near Phalaborwa needs extra hands this season. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

This post is in Phalaborwa (Limpopo). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

What you'll actually do

Fill crates or bins and carry them to the collection point
Keep your picking card or tag count for daily pay
Clean and store picking bags, ladders and secateurs
Wash hands and use the field toilets for food safety
Move irrigation pipes and check drippers for blockages
Prune and thin fruit trees and vines to the farm's method

You'll need

Available for the full harvest season
Physically fit for bending, lifting and climbing ladders
Willing to start at sunrise
Follows farm hygiene and safety rules

Helpful, not essential

Pruning experience on vines or fruit trees
Tractor or quad bike experience
Previous harvest or picking experience
