Group Accountant (Consolidations)

You'll own the monthly numbers for a national retail chain head office in Bloemfontein, from journals to the management pack. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

This post is Bloemfontein-based, with most of your time spent at a national retail chain head office.

• Maintain the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules
• Review creditors, debtors and payroll journals from the clerks
• Run cash flow forecasts and manage the weekly payment run
• Prepare monthly management accounts with variance commentary
• Build budgets and rolling forecasts with department heads

• Working knowledge of IFRS or IFRS for SMEs
• At least 3 years of post-qualification accounting experience
• BCom Accounting or equivalent degree
• Understanding of South African income tax and VAT

• CIMA qualification for management accounting posts
• Consolidation experience across several companies

• Hybrid schedule outside month-end week
