Guest Relations Officer (Resort)

You'll handle check-ins, bookings and questions at a beach resort in Secunda. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

The work is in Secunda, Mpumalanga, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Take card pre-authorisations and settle folios at checkout.
• Handle complaints at the desk and log them for the duty manager.
• Balance your cash float and card slips before handover.
• Manage OTA bookings coming in from online travel channels.
• Check guests in and out on Opera or Protel, and scan IDs and passports.

• You can work rotating shifts, including nights
• A hospitality or tourism diploma, or 1 year at a hotel front desk
• Calm with an unhappy guest at 11pm
• Matric

• Amadeus or Galileo training for travel roles
• Revenue or yield management exposure

• Meals on duty and uniform supplied
• Paid system training in the first month
• Service charge share at some properties
