Night Auditor (City Hotel)

You'll handle check-ins, bookings and questions at a travel agency in Mbombela. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

This post is in Mbombela (Mpumalanga). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Store guest details securely in line with POPIA.
• Handle complaints at the desk and log them for the duty manager.
• Balance your cash float and card slips before handover.
• Quote flights, car hire and holiday packages on a GDS such as Amadeus or Galileo.
• Answer booking emails and calls, and quote rates from the rate sheet.

• Honest with cash and card payments
• Confident on a computer and quick to learn a property system

• A hospitality or tourism diploma, or 1 year at a hotel front desk
• Calm with an unhappy guest at 11pm

• Amadeus or Galileo training for travel roles
• Revenue or yield management exposure
• A foreign language such as German, French or Portuguese
