Job Description

This is a floor job at a wine farm restaurant in Kimberley where your tips follow your service. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

This post is in Kimberley (Northern Cape). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

What you'll actually do

Mix cocktails, pour draught and serve shooters to spec at the bar.
Pull espresso shots and steam milk for flat whites and cappuccinos.
Greet guests, seat them and hand over menus within a minute of arrival.
Clear, wipe and reset tables fast during the Friday and Sunday rush.
Check back two minutes after mains land and fix problems on the spot.

You'll need

Quick with basic maths and card machines
Own transport or a safe way home after late shifts
At least 6 months of waitering, bar or coffee shop experience
You can stand and walk for a full 8-hour shift

Nice if you have

A second language such as isiZulu, isiXhosa or Afrikaans
Responsible Service of Alcohol training
