Job Description

This is a floor job at a busy mall coffee shop in Pretoria West where your tips follow your service. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

This post is in Pretoria West (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

What your day looks like

Check back two minutes after mains land and fix problems on the spot.
Explain specials, allergens and wine pairings in plain words.
Clear, wipe and reset tables fast during the Friday and Sunday rush.
Take orders on the POS tablet and read them back to avoid kitchen mistakes.
Pull espresso shots and steam milk for flat whites and cappuccinos.
Carry plates to the right seat without auctioning food at the table.

What you need

Own transport or a safe way home after late shifts
You speak clear English and can chat easily with guests
Grade 10 or higher; matric is a plus
At least 6 months of waitering, bar or coffee shop experience
Neat grooming and a friendly manner under pressure
