Job Description

Running the front desk of a boutique guesthouse in Durban Central means calm service and a clean shift balance. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

Location: Durban Central, KwaZulu-Natal. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

What you'll actually do

Manage OTA bookings coming in from online travel channels.
Quote flights, car hire and holiday packages on a GDS such as Amadeus or Galileo.
Book shuttles, dinner reservations and game drives for guests.
Store guest details securely in line with POPIA.
Answer booking emails and calls, and quote rates from the rate sheet.
Check guests in and out on Opera or Protel, and scan IDs and passports.

Must-haves

Confident on a computer and quick to learn a property system
You can work rotating shifts, including nights
Clear spoken and written English
Calm with an unhappy guest at 11pm
Matric
Honest with cash and card payments

Helpful, not essential

Opera PMS or Protel certificate
Revenue or yield management exposure
