Housekeeping Supervisor (Resort)

You'll clean and set up guest rooms at a conference hotel in Johannesburg CBD to a checklist standard. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

You'll be based at a conference hotel in Johannesburg CBD. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Clean bathrooms, showers and toilets with the correct colour-coded cloths.
• Vacuum, mop and dust rooms from top to bottom.
• Strip beds, make them up with fresh linen and square the corners.
• Report broken fittings, leaks and damage to maintenance.
• Update room status on the housekeeping app or board after each room.
• Mix chemicals safely and store them as the MSDS sheet shows.

• You can finish around 14 rooms in a shift
• Grade 10 or higher
• Hotel, guesthouse or domestic cleaning experience
• You work neatly and notice a hair on a pillow
• Honest and trustworthy around guest belongings
• Fit enough to lift mattresses and push trolleys all day

• Basic first aid certificate
• Chemical handling training

• Uniform and protective gloves supplied
• Monthly award for best room scores
• Staff transport from nearby townships for early shifts
• Meals on duty
