Waiter / Waitress (Evening Shift) – Permanent

You'll look after tables at a sports bar and grill in Boksburg, from the first greeting to the final bill. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

The site is in Boksburg; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Restock the bar fridges and help with the weekly stock count.
• Check back two minutes after mains land and fix problems on the spot.
• Refuse service to anyone under 18 or visibly drunk, as the Liquor Act requires.
• Carry plates to the right seat without auctioning food at the table.
• Explain specials, allergens and wine pairings in plain words.
• Clear, wipe and reset tables fast during the Friday and Sunday rush.
• Take orders on the POS tablet and read them back to avoid kitchen mistakes.

• Neat grooming and a friendly manner under pressure
• Grade 10 or higher; matric is a plus
• You can stand and walk for a full 8-hour shift
• At least 6 months of waitering, bar or coffee shop experience

• Responsible Service of Alcohol training
• A second language such as isiZulu, isiXhosa or Afrikaans

• Late-shift lift home within a set radius
