HR Generalist (Manufacturing Plant)

You'll handle the full HR cycle for a retail chain region in Pretoria East, from hiring to hearings. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

You'll be based at a retail chain region in Pretoria East. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Run exit interviews and report turnover each quarter.
• Represent the company at CCMA conciliations and arbitrations.
• Handle grievances with notes, dates and a clear written outcome.
• Compile the Employment Equity report and the Workplace Skills Plan.
• Consult with shop stewards and attend union meetings.
• Advise line managers on the Labour Relations Act and the BCEA.
• Coordinate training and submit SETA grant claims on time.

• A degree or diploma in HR management, labour relations or industrial psychology
• Solid working knowledge of the LRA, BCEA and EEA
• Valid driver's licence for multi-site roles
• Confident facilitating hard conversations with managers and unions
• CCMA experience, at least at conciliation
• At least 3 years as an HR officer or generalist

• Prepare for a case-study question on dismissing an employee fairly, and walk through procedure and substance.
