HR Generalist (Manufacturing Plant)

You'll handle the full HR cycle for an open-cast mine in Randburg, from hiring to hearings. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

This post is Randburg-based, with most of your time spent at an open-cast mine. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Advise line managers on the Labour Relations Act and the BCEA.
• Run onboarding, contracts and probation reviews for new staff.
• Consult with shop stewards and attend union meetings.
• Run exit interviews and report turnover each quarter.
• Track leave, absenteeism and sick notes and act on patterns.

• Solid working knowledge of the LRA, BCEA and EEA
• Valid driver's licence for multi-site roles
• A degree or diploma in HR management, labour relations or industrial psychology
• At least 3 years as an HR officer or generalist
• Good report writing and Excel

• CPD and SABPP fees paid

• Prepare for a case-study question on dismissing an employee fairly, and walk through procedure and substance.
• Quantify your IR work: how many hearings, CCMA cases and outcomes; that is what HR managers check first.
