In-House Legal Advisor (Financial Services)

Take on a real caseload and build your name at a debt recovery law firm in Brits. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

Location: Brits, North West. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Record billable time and hit the monthly target
• Keep trust account instructions and fee notes accurate
• Advise clients on risk, settlement and next steps in plain language
• Appear in the magistrate's court, CCMA, Labour Court or High Court as your matters need
• Supervise and train candidate attorneys and paralegals
• Draft and review contracts, shareholder agreements and legal opinions

• Strong drafting and legal research
• Enrolled with the Legal Practice Council and holding a current Fidelity Fund certificate if you handle trust money
• Right of appearance in the High Court for litigation posts
• LLB and admission as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa
• Able to manage client relationships without a senior in the room
• Sound judgement under deadline pressure
