Installation Electrician (Wireman's Licence)

Got your trade test and a steady hand on a DB board? This office park maintenance team in Khayelitsha needs you on the tools. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

Location: Khayelitsha, Western Cape. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Read electrical layouts and mark out point positions before chasing walls
• Replace faulty light fittings, plugs, geyser elements and thermostats
• Install and wire distribution boards, isolators and earth leakage units to SANS 10142-1
• Lock out and tag out circuits before any work on live equipment
• Supervise and teach an electrical assistant or apprentice on site

• Solid working knowledge of SANS 10142-1 and the Electrical Installation Regulations
• Clean criminal record, since you will work inside client homes
• Registered with the Department of Employment and Labour as an Installation Electrician or holding a Wireman's licence
• Your own basic hand tools and a calibrated multimeter

• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekends
• Company-issued test instruments, calibrated every year
• Company bakkie for call-outs and travel between sites
