Job Description

When the network goes down at this managed services provider in Sandton, you're the one who brings it back. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

This post is Sandton-based, with most of your time spent at a managed services provider. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

What your day looks like

Run and test backups, and do regular restore drills
Document network diagrams and change records
Review security logs and investigate suspicious sign-ins
Work with ISPs on link faults and fibre installs
Manage users, groups and conditional access in Entra ID
Troubleshoot load-shedding related outages and UPS failures
Build and maintain virtual machines on Hyper-V, VMware or Azure

Must-haves

Degree or diploma in IT, plus relevant certifications
Solid TCP/IP, routing, switching and firewall knowledge
At least 3 years in systems, network or cloud administration
Strong Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 skills, or Linux for Linux posts

Extra points for

Experience with SIEM tools such as Microsoft Sentinel or Wazuh
ISO 27001 audit experience
