IT Intern (Support Desk)

You'll be the person who fixes it when laptops, printers and logins break at a call centre campus in Fourways. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

This post is Fourways-based, with most of your time spent at a call centre campus. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Connect users remotely with a remote support tool to fix issues
• Escalate network and server faults to second or third line with good notes
• Write short how-to guides for common user problems
• Replace faulty hardware and log warranty claims with suppliers
• Reset passwords and unlock accounts in Active Directory and Entra ID
• Troubleshoot Outlook, Teams and OneDrive problems for users

• Matric plus an IT qualification, such as CompTIA A+ or an IT diploma
• Basic networking: IP addresses, DNS, DHCP and Wi-Fi
• Working knowledge of Windows 10 and 11 and Microsoft 365
• Code B driver's licence and own car for field posts
• Able to log clear, complete ticket notes

• CompTIA Network+ or Microsoft MD-102 certification
• Experience supporting point-of-sale or medical devices

• Company laptop and cellphone
• Paid certification exams after probation
• Standby pay for after-hours cover

• List your certifications right under your name; A+ and ITIL are common keyword filters.
• Be ready for a practical test on a real laptop or a phone troubleshooting role-play.
