Job Description

A corporate head office in Alberton needs a calm tech who can help frustrated users get back to work. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

This post is in Alberton (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily.

What you'll actually do

Keep the asset register up to date when equipment moves
Install and configure printers, scanners and docking stations
Troubleshoot Outlook, Teams and OneDrive problems for users
Log, prioritise and update tickets on the service desk system
Visit branches or sites to fix issues that need hands on the machine

Must-haves

Matric plus an IT qualification, such as CompTIA A+ or an IT diploma
Basic networking: IP addresses, DNS, DHCP and Wi-Fi
Able to log clear, complete ticket notes
Working knowledge of Windows 10 and 11 and Microsoft 365

Helpful, not essential

Experience supporting point-of-sale or medical devices
Experience with Intune or SCCM for device management
