IT Intern (Support Desk) – Entry Level

Get hands-on support experience at a corporate head office in Thohoyandou, from password resets to new laptop builds. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

You'll report in Thohoyandou. Relocation is not covered for this one. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Install and configure printers, scanners and docking stations
• Connect users remotely with a remote support tool to fix issues
• Visit branches or sites to fix issues that need hands on the machine
• Troubleshoot Outlook, Teams and OneDrive problems for users
• Log, prioritise and update tickets on the service desk system
• Replace faulty hardware and log warranty claims with suppliers

• Able to log clear, complete ticket notes
• Matric plus an IT qualification, such as CompTIA A+ or an IT diploma
• Patient and friendly with non-technical users
• At least 1 year of help desk or desktop support (not needed for intern posts)
• Basic networking: IP addresses, DNS, DHCP and Wi-Fi

• CompTIA Network+ or Microsoft MD-102 certification
• ITIL Foundation
• Experience supporting point-of-sale or medical devices

• Company laptop and cellphone
• Clear path to second-line and systems roles
• Paid certification exams after probation

• Be ready for a practical test on a real laptop or a phone troubleshooting role-play.
• Describe the size of the environment you supported, such as "400 users across 6 branches".
