Job Description

Get hands-on support experience at a group of private schools in Cape Town CBD, from password resets to new laptop builds. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

Home base is a group of private schools on the Cape Town CBD side of Western Cape. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

What you'll actually do

Keep the asset register up to date when equipment moves
Install and configure printers, scanners and docking stations
Escalate network and server faults to second or third line with good notes
Log, prioritise and update tickets on the service desk system
Replace faulty hardware and log warranty claims with suppliers

You'll need

At least 1 year of help desk or desktop support (not needed for intern posts)
Basic networking: IP addresses, DNS, DHCP and Wi-Fi
Code B driver's licence and own car for field posts
Able to log clear, complete ticket notes
Patient and friendly with non-technical users
Working knowledge of Windows 10 and 11 and Microsoft 365
