Java Developer (Banking Systems)

Here your code runs in production, not in a drawer: a fintech start-up in Montague Gardens. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

You'll be based at a fintech start-up in Montague Gardens. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Deploy through a CI/CD pipeline on Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or GitLab
• Write unit and integration tests before you merge
• Join daily stand-ups and sprint planning
• Review teammates' pull requests with useful comments
• Investigate production bugs using logs and monitoring dashboards

• Commercial experience in at least one of PHP, C#, Java, Python or JavaScript
• Good SQL and understanding of relational databases
• Experience writing automated tests
• Solid Git habits: branches, pull requests and meaningful commit messages
