Job Description

You'll build and ship features that real users touch every day, for an insurance company software team in Vanderbijlpark. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

The work is in Vanderbijlpark, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day.

What you'll actually do

Deploy through a CI/CD pipeline on Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or GitLab
Write, test and refactor code in your team's main language
Document how your features work for support and new developers
Review teammates' pull requests with useful comments
Pair with junior developers to unblock them

Must-haves

Good SQL and understanding of relational databases
Commercial experience in at least one of PHP, C#, Java, Python or JavaScript
Experience writing automated tests
Stable internet and a quiet workspace for remote days

Nice if you have

Docker and Kubernetes experience
Public GitHub portfolio or published app
Experience in regulated sectors such as banking or medical schemes
