Job Description

Good with CAD and serious about accuracy? This engineering design office in Sandton could use you. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

This post is in Sandton (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

What you'll actually do

Produce bills of materials from 3D models
Model steel structures in Tekla and produce shop drawings and cutting lists
Follow SANS 10111 drawing conventions and the office title block standard
Keep the drawing register current and issue drawings on time
Update drawings after engineer comments and track revisions
Take site measurements to check existing conditions

Must-haves

At least 2 years working as a draughtsperson in your discipline
Able to read engineers' mark-ups and ask the right questions
Advanced skills in AutoCAD plus one 3D package
Neat and accurate, with a habit of checking your own work

Nice if you have

Registration with ECSA as a Candidate Engineering Technician
Revit or Civil 3D experience
